Stock exchange appoints new executive

Stock exchange innovator Chi-X Australia has appointed an experienced executive to the role of deputy chief operating officer. 

Andrew Walton, who returns to Chi-X after six years abroad, will take on the role and play a part in its development and growth through product innovation. 

Mr Walton has held senior positions at UBS and ASX most recently as APAC chief operating officer at Liquidnet.

Chi-X chief executive Vic Jokovic said that the team was pleased to welcome Mr Walton back into the company. 

“We are pleased to welcome Andrew back to Chi-X. His deep knowledge of financial technology systems, infrastructure and strategy makes him a valuable addition to our growing team,” he said. 

Mr Jokovic said Chi-X had several recent innovations, like TraCRs, that required a skilled hand in promoting to the market. 

“Andrew’s skills and expertise will certainly be put to good use as we continue to enhance our trading systems and expand our product offering to the Australian market,” Mr Jokovic said.
