MetLife Australia has announced four new appointments to help manage the recently launched MetLife protect retail product.

Marcus Chan, MetLife

The four hires are on the retail team with sales managers being appointed for all mainland states in Australia.

Macrus Chan and Aaron Nugent both come from BT Group and will be sales managers for NSW and Queensland respectively.

Patrick Murphy joins MetLife from AMP and will be sales manager for Western Australia and South Australia and lastly Stephen Nyabadza from CommInsure will be Victoria’s sales manager.

MetLife’s head of retail sales Matt Lippiatt said the new hires would enable MetLife to work with even more advisers across Australia.

“We want every single adviser who works with us to have a one-on-one relationship with somebody at MetLife who cares for them and whom they trust to deliver great outcomes for their clients. Marcus, Aaron, Pat and Stephen bring energy, experience and insight to our team and will enable us to work with even more advisers around Australia,” said Mr Lippiatt.

Mr Lippiatt said the group would help bolster the popular MetLife Protect which is a life insurance product helping meet the needs of small-to-medium enterprises and families.

“The response from advisers to our launch has been terrific. We will continue to differentiate ourselves in the market by investing in great people and making sure we have the right support for our adviser community across the country,” he said.

Mr Lippiatt wished the team luck in their new roles and said it was an exciting time for the business.

“We’re delighted to be expanding our team at this exciting time for MetLife. I know their experience and passion will be key to driving our success in the adviser market,” said Mr Lippiatt.
