The ASX has announced the appointment of Gillian Larkins as its new CFO effective 29 October.

Ms Larkins joins the ASX from Perpetual Limited where she was also CFO with a role that encompassed finance, technology, legal, compliance and risk responsibilities.

Prior to working as CFO for Perpetual she led the company’s transformation program. Prior to Perpetual, she was CFO of Westpac’s Institutional Bank and CFO for Citigroup’s operations in Australia and New Zealand.

ASX managing director and chief executive Dominic Stevens said that the ASX welcomed Ms Larkin and said she had the skills the exchange needed.

“She brings a strong track record of financial and strategic business leadership. Her skills and experience will be invaluable as we complete our Stronger Foundations program and pursue new and adjacent revenue opportunities,” Mr Stevens said.

Ms Larkins is replacing Ramy Aziz as CFO who announced in June his intention to retire after more than 18 years with the ASX.
