Aviva appoints head of sales, Asia

Global asset manager Aviva Investors has appointed a head of institutional sales covering Asia.

Tom Clapham has been appointed as head of institutional sales for Asia at Aviva Investors.

Mr Clapham, who will be based in Singapore, has 20 years of experience, having held senior roles at Macquarie Bank, Deutsche Bank and Mercer.

Before that, he was head of sovereign wealth funds and central banks (Asia) for institutional sales and head of consultant relations at AXA Investment Managers.

His new role at Aviva Investors will see him building relationship with sovereign wealth funds, government pensions, and insurance companies in North and Southeast Asia.

Mr Clapham will report to head of client solutions for Asia Pacific and Middle East, Scott Callander.
