Carl Brazendale, who was previously chief relationship officer for BNY Mellon's Pershing subsidiary in Australia, has joined Financial Simplicity as chief commercial officer.
Mr Brazendale returned to Australia in 2013 after 17 years in Chicago where be led ABN AMRO's prime brokerage, clearing and execution sales teams until January 2003.
He joined Pershing in 2005 and was a senior member of its sales and relationship management team for eight years. He was responsible for the strategic direction of the Australian business between 2013 and 2018.

In his new role, Mr Brazendale will be responsible for the commercial growth of Financial Simplicity, according to a statement by the firm.
