Industry super fund Vision Super has appointed the Australian Services Union's executive president Lisa Darmanin to its board.

InvestorDaily has confirmed Ms Darmanin joined the industry fund’s board of directors on 6 March.

She has been the executive president of the Victorian and Tasmanian branch of the Australian Services Union since 1999.

Ms Darmanin has also had previous board experience in a similar role, having been a director at industry fund HESTA between 2013 and 2017.

Commenting on her own appointment, Ms Darmanin said she was delighted to join the board of the industry fund.

“Even in the short time I’ve been a director, it’s clear that Vision Super has a road map for growth, and I’m excited to be part of the journey,” she said.

“Lisa brings valuable experience to the Vision Super Board, and I’m looking forward to working with her to achieve the best outcomes for our members,” Vision super deputy chair Geoff Lake added.

The appointment means four of nine board directors at Vision Super are female, InvestorDaily has been told.
