Boutique asset manager Arco Investment Management has added former Janus Henderson portfolio manager David Rosenbloom to its investment team.

Mr Rosenbloom makes the move to Arco Investment Management following more than five years at Janus Henderson Investors, where he held the role of head of alternative Australian equities and, before that, head of alternative investments.

In his new position, Mr Rosenbloom will play a part in overseeing the retail launch of the boutique asset manager’s absolute return strategy.

Before his time at Henderson Global Investors, he spent 12 years at Wallara Asset Management where he was executive director.

Prior to 2000, he held roles at ANZ Securities, BT Stockbroking, ANZ Group and Sumitomo Trust.

Co-portfolio manager George Colman said Mr Rosenbloom’s 30 years’ “knowledge and experience” in equity research and portfolio management would have a “positive impact”.

“In addition to his research and portfolio management experience, David has welcome skills in developing additional product solutions for investors and advisers with an absolute return appetite,” Mr Colman said.

Commenting on his own appointment, Mr Rosenbloom said he had known the Arco team for “many years now”.

“Joining ARCO is a natural fit for my market beliefs, especially at a time when the business is in a good growth phase.”
