Staff-owned boutique investment firm Eight Investment Partners has recruited Perennial general manager for investment services.
Brian Thomas, who has 40 years of industry experience, joins Eight Investment Partners (8IP) as general manager for business and investments.
Mr Thomas previously headed investments at Perennial Investment Partners. Before that, he was managing director and head of distribution for Credit Suisse Asset Management, and a division director at Macquarie Bank.
Eight Investment Partners principal and chief investment officer Kerry Series said Mr Thomas' appointment was a "significant addition" that brings "extensive experience" to 8IP.
For his part, Mr Thomas said, "I am very happy to join a boutique funds manager that has a strong investment culture".
"The track record of out-performance over the past five years of their small companies equity products is testament to the focus, experience, and networks of the investment team," he said.
