Global asset manager BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed a head of intermediary distribution, greater China.

Phoebe Ao Ieong steps into the Hong Kong-based role with over a decade’s experience in private banking, wealth and asset management, according to a statement.

She was most recently head of private bank distribution at Hong Kong-based asset manager Income Partners Asset Management and prior to that held a variety of roles for JPMorgan Chase and JP Morgan Asset Management between 2009 and 2015 across Sydney and Hong Kong.

Ms Ieong’s new role will see her further BNY Mellon’s relationships with third-party distributors and private banks in greater China, which covers mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and give clients access to investment managers in multiple asset classes such as equities, fixed income, private debt and private equity.
