Rice Warner appoints senior consultant

Research house Rice Warner has hired a senior consultant to provide advice to its Melbourne-based superannuation and insurance clientele.

Wayne Kenafacke steps into the role with over 20 years’ experience in the superannuation, financial advice, insurance and retail banking sectors, according to a statement.

Prior to the appointment, Mr Kenafacke had been at insurance group St Andrew’s Australia for over 10 years, most recently in the position of chief financial officer and appointed actuary.

He began his career as a cadet at Trowbridge Deloitte in 1997 and moved to various positions in the company over a span of nearly nine years before finally departing in 2005 as a director.

Commenting on the appointment, Rice Warner head of consulting and research Jenni Baxter said she was pleased to welcome Mr Kenafacke to the firm.

“We are delighted to welcome Wayne who brings new depth and strength to our team of expert consultants,” Ms Baxter said.

“Wayne is well positioned to respond to the needs of our Melbourne clients.”

Mr Kenafacke has already commenced in his new role.

Rice Warner has also appointed Wendy Van and Mark Thompson as research product manager and technical team lead for its fintech team respectively, according to the statement.
