Industry fund Equip Super has appointed a former APRA manager as its new executive officer for governance and risk.
Former APRA manager Natalie Alford has joined Equip Super as the industry fund's new executive officer, governance and risk.
Ms Alford joins Equip from the APRA, where she was a manager in the specialised institutions division.
Equip chief executive Nick Vamvakas said Ms Alford would bring with her a "deep and comprehensive understanding" of the superannuation industry and regulatory environment.
"She has an outstanding capability and reputation for cultivating and maintaining relationships at executive and board level and has specialised in building and leading multi-functional teams," Mr Vamvakas said.
"Her unique and contemporary skills and experience will bring new perspectives and insights to our executive and board thinking about strategies for success within the increasingly complex superannuation sector."
