Former Commonwealth Bank Officers Superannuation Fund chief executive Gerard Parlevliet has joined La Trobe Financial Asset management as a director.
Mr Parlevliet has 25 years of experience in the super industry, including 12 years as chief executive of CBA Group Super and an additional seven years as its chief investment officer.
His new Sydney-based role at La Trobe Financial will involve “assist[ing] the company in expanding its footprint in the investment sector”, according to a statement by the firm.
La Trobe Financial’s president and CEO Greg O’Neill said Mr Parlevliet would bring experience in leadership, investment and corporate governance to the board.
“Parlevliet’s extensive experience will prove invaluable and will assist us to meet the challenges and opportunities of growing our business in the years ahead,” Mr O’Neill said.
“Our customers and our staff will benefit from the skills and experience he brings.”
Mr Parlevliet currently holds a director position on the board of Prime Super.
