ASIC has appointed acting chief information officer Jo Harper to the role on a permanent basis.

Jo Harper stepped into the role of chief information officer at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission following Wendy Bryant’s departure in February, according to an internal ASIC note.

Having worked at ASIC since 2013, Ms Harper has over three decades’ experience in information technology and has worked across various roles in the industry, such as programmer, project manager, director of information technology, project management consultant and trainer.

“With experience in both private and public sector organisations, Jo brings significant experience in managing successful projects from small scale implementations through to multimillion-dollar programs,” the note said.
