ME Bank names new board member

Former Suncorp executive John Nesbitt has been appointed to the ME Bank board as director.

Mr Nesbitt has a wealth of experience in the banking and financial services sectors, having previously served as the chief executive officer of Suncorp Banking and Wealth, chief financial officer of Suncorp Group, and group chief financial officer of Perpetual.

Additionally, Mr Nesbitt has held positions on the boards of several businesses such as IBM Global Services, ASX Perpetual Registrars and a number of infrastructure and property ownership entities.

“John’s experience at the top of Australia’s banking industry as well as his broader financial services and business experience, and leadership roles, will benefit the bank over future years,” said ME chair Ken Hodgson.
