Wealth management firm Mutual Trust has announced the appointment of former AIA Australia chief investment officer Graeme Bibby.

Mr Bibby will join Mutual Trust as its new chief investment officer, commencing on 9 January 2017.

He makes the move from AIA Australia where he was chief investment officer.

Before that, he worked in asset consulting at both Russell Investments and Mercer, along with a fixed income role at Alliance Capital Management and an investments position at BHP Superannuation.

Mutual Trust chief executive Tim Hammon said Mr Bibby's macro expertise would help the firm develop and implement strategic asset allocation strategies.
