MLC Life Insurance has expanded its team with several new appointments, including Megan Clements as strategic product manager and Matt Lang as senior manager transformation.
The recent additions were made as part of a move to refocus the business on the group insurance sector following Japanese insurance firm Nippon Life’s acquisition of 80 per cent of the business from NAB, said MLC Life Insurance chief customer officer of group insurance Suzanne Smith.
“We’re thrilled to have such high calibre industry professionals join our existing strong team, as we increase our focus on Group Insurance,” said Ms Smith.
“Our ability to attract such great external talent is testament to our plans to broaden and deepen our servicing of corporate and industry funds.”
Ms Clements and Mr Lang are joined by Michael Shagrin, senior relationship manager for corporate and industry funds, Jenny Liu, pricing manager, and Sean Potter, senior relationship manager.
“The recent acquisition of 80 per cent shares of MLC Limited, by the Nippon Life Insurance Company, the eighth largest life insurer in the world, presents us with the opportunity to invest and grow,” said Ms Smith.
“With this expanded team in place, we are in a very strong position to deepen our existing partnerships with our customers and expand our industry fund portfolio.”
