Zurich Financial Services has named Susan Roberts as an independent non-executive director on the board of Zurich Australian Superannuation.

Ms Roberts has worked in financial services for over 25 years, including three years as chief executive of Lazard Asset Management, and also serves as the Chair of 30% Club’s Investor Working Group.

This appointment marks the departure of previous non-executive director Catherine Osborne, who has served on the Zurich Australian Superannuation board for nine years.

“I’d like to acknowledge Catherine’s time on our board, in particular her work overseeing the claims committee, as well as the audit and compliance of the board,” said Zurich Australian Superannuation board chair Winsome Hall.

Additionally, Ms Hall said Ms Roberts was well suited to taking on the role previously held by Ms Osborne.

“Susan’s extensive experience means she is in a great position to continue this momentum and I look forward to welcoming her to the board,” she said.
