Australian Unity Funds Management has appointed Boyd Lees to the role of senior institutional business development manager.
In his new role, Mr Lees will help the business “grow its institutional footprint across its joint ventures, real estate investment and internal asset management capabilities” the company said.
Mr Lees was previously vice president of business development at Citadel SPV, having also worked with National Australia Bank, Pershing LLC, BNY Mellon and Potter Warburg Asset Management throughout his 15 year career in financial services.
Australian Unity Funds Management head of distribution Damen Purcell, to whom Mr Lees will report, said Mr Lees’ experience and existing relationships would “stand him in good stead in the new role”.
“His background in asset management distribution and business development were particularly attractive to us when looking to appoint someone to the team, and his in-depth understanding of both traditional and alternative asset classes fits well with our business,” Mr Purcell said.
Mr Lees has worked in Australia and throughout Asia, and in his new role will be based in Sydney.
