Mr Moss has previously worked with AllianceBernstein, as an analyst with the equities team between 2006 and 2012. He then took up the role of senior investment analyst, core Australian equities, at Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
AllianceBernstein chief executive Jen Driscoll said the company is pleased to have Mr Moss back and that she looks forward to working with him again.
Mr Moss was described as an “excellent fit” for the role by AllianceBernstein chief investment officer for Australian equities, Roy Maslen.
“Gates is a highly experienced and capable analyst with great depth of knowledge of the Australian market,” he said.
Mr Moss’ experience also includes a number of management roles, as well as a management consultant position with Boston Consulting Group, with which he worked in both Australia and the US.
