Discretionary investment manager Man GLG has named Phil Yuhn as portfolio manager for the emerging markets debt team.
Mr Yuhn joins the company from American Century Investments, and prior to that he worked at HSBC Global Asset Management alongside current Man GLG head of emerging markets debt Guillermo Ossés.
Mr Yuhn’s appointment coincides with four new hires, completing the emerging markets debt team.
Joining Mr Yuhn will be portfolio managers Jose Wynne and Lisa Chua, portfolio engineer Ehsan Bashi and product specialist Maria do Carmo Cal.
Mr Ossés said the new hires would “thrive” in their roles and he looked forward to what the team would bring to the business.
“We have put together a first-class emerging markets debt team at Man GLG and I am excited about what we can achieve in this market for our clients,” he said.
Man GLG co-chief executive Teun Johnston said he was delighted with the new team and the skills they brought with them.
“Together, they bring a vast amount of experience and expertise to Man GLG’s emerging markets debt team and demonstrate the commitment that we have made as a firm to developing an outstanding proposition for clients in this asset class,” he said.
