Brad Vann has been appointed by IFM Investors as the independent chair of the IFM Australian Infrastructure Fund investor advisory committee.

Mr Vann has 35 years of experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects, IFM Investors said in a statement.

"He has many years' experience working with boards and committees and established extensive relationships across the infrastructure sector with governments, major contractors, designers, operators, lawyers, financiers and investors," the statement said.

IFM Investors' head of Australian infrastructure, Michael Hanna, said Mr Vann's experience across the public and private sectors would be "highly valuable" to the investor advisory committee (IAC).

"Mr Vann is a regular writer, lecturer and commentator on infrastructure, both nationally and internationally, on issues relating to the financing and funding of infrastructure and emerging and future infrastructure trends," the firm said.

Mr Vann was formally appointed as independent chair on 5 May.
