Alternative investment manager Man Group has named a new managing director for the Asia Pacific.
Hersh Gandhi, who joined Man Group in 2004, has been appointed as managing director of the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan).
Man Group chief executive officer Emmanuel Roman said: “Over the past two years, Hersh has been successfully leading Man Group’s client business in Australia, developing our presence in both the institutional and retail markets.
“With his extensive experience and knowledge of our business built over the past 10 years, I am delighted that Hersh’s role will be expanded, and he will now assume responsibility for developing our services for clients across Asia Pacific, a region we see as extremely important to our firm.”
Mr Gandhi will lead Man Group’s institutional and retail client business across the Asia Pacific. He will also continue to oversee institutional and retail client relationships in Australia.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Gandhi said: “I am very excited to be leading Man Group’s client business across Asia Pacific, as we continue to develop our business in this key region.”
