Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) chief executive Warren Lee is set to depart the organisation at the end of his tenure in the top job.

Mr Lee joined VFMC in 2012, after working for AXA Pacific Holdings Limited for more than 15 years.

Commenting on his departure, the VFMC board thanked Mr Lee for his “excellent leadership” during a time in which the business “delivered strongly for all stakeholders”.

“He leaves VFMC with a strong team and a business well placed to continue its success into the future,” a statement from VFMC said.

The board will undertake a search for a new chief executive with the help of Mr Lee over the next few months.
