Mark Jordan joins Magellan Asset Management from Fidelity Worldwide Investment, where he was the national account manager.
A statement from Magellan said Mr Jordan worked closely with financial planning licensees and practitioners at Fidelity for the last three years.
"Previously Mark spent five years at Perpetual in equities portfolio specialist and account manager roles," said the statement.

"Earlier in his career he held the position of state manager for Victoria at IWL Limited, and started as a financial planner for AXA Financial Planning before moving on to Australian Unity Financial Planning."
Mr Jordan started in his new role this week.
