Stephen Scott (pictured) and Justin Puli will both report to Contango AM chief investment officer George Boubouras.
Mr Scott was most recently head of research at Ord Minnett and was the senior portfolio manager for Deutsche Asset Management from 1996 through to 2007.
Mr Pulis joins Contango from risk advisory Noah’s Rule where he was a senior analyst. Before that he was a senior REIT analyst at Challenger and HSBC Asset Management.
Mr Boubouras said the expertise of both men would help the team deliver high-quality research to Contango’s portfolio managers around the world.
“We’re implementing an ambitious growth strategy at Contango, and vital to that is having high-calibre people driving our business,” Mr Boubouras said.
“These additions will enable us to capitalise on the growth opportunities that we see in small and micro-cap Australian equities, and in the rapidly expanding retirement incomes space,” he said.
