Financial software provider IRESS has named a new chief financial officer following the retirement of Stu Bland.

Mr Harris was formerly the head of strategy and business development for CBA’s International Financial Services Asia division. Before that, he was the CFO of the same division.

IRESS chief executive Andrew Walsh said, “We are pleased to have found in John a high-calibre chief financial officer with relevant strategic, industry and cross-jurisdictional management experience.

“John will be a valuable addition to the executive team and I welcome him to IRESS.”

Mr Bland will remain with IRESS until 1 October in order to support a smooth transition, IRESS said in a statement.

“On behalf of the board, I express gratitude for [Mr Bland’s] contribution over time and his stewardship in transition and wish him every success,” Mr Walsh said.
