Post-trade market infrastructure firm DTCC has appointed Oliver Williams as its global trade repository (GTR) business manager.
Mr Williams, who will be based in Sydney, will oversee GTR on-boarding and regulatory collaboration.
The regional head of DTCC's GTR business in the Asia Pacific, Peter Tierney, said Mr Williams brings to the role 15 years of financial services experience and "deep knowledge of pre- and post-trade market segments".
"[Mr Williams] is well positioned to manage the initiative in Australia while helping to drive data quality and programs that lead to meaningful visibility into derivatives transactions, a key G20 objective," Mr Tierney said.
Mr Williams joins DTCC from Barclays Capital where he was vice-president. Before that, he worked at Morgan Stanley as a senior manager as well as for Goldman Sachs.
