Aon Hewitt has appointed former KPMG partner Trevor Allen as a new director to the board of its superannuation business to replace Bruce Robertson who retired on 31 December 2014.

Mr Allen has been appointed as an independent director of Aon's superannuation trustee board as well as chair of the audit sub-committee as well.

“[Mr Allen] has over 35 years’ of corporate and commercial experience, primarily as a corporate and financial adviser to Australian and international corporates in the listed and private sectors and, more recently, as a non-executive director of listed companies and non-for-profit organisations,” a statement from Aon said.

“He was also formerly a partner at KPMG for nearly 12 years and, at the time of his retirement, was the national lead partner for its M&A advice group. Previously, he had worked as executive director at UBS Warburg for eight years,” the statement said.
