Peeyush Gupta has been appointed as a non-executive director of the NAB board, replacing Geoff Tomlinson whose tenure as director ends in December 2014.

Mr Gupta is currently a non-executive director of National Wealth Management Holdings, a subsidiary of NAB.

He was co-founder and inaugural chief executive of IPAC securities, a wealth management firm providing financial advice and institutional portfolio management.

Mr Gupta has also served as a director on trustee and responsible entity boards since the 1990s, and as a director on multiple profit and not-for-profit boards.

NAB chairman Michael Chaney said NAB is delighted Mr Gupta has accepted the invitation to join the board “given his significant experience in wealth management and governance, in executive management and director capacities.

“He is a valuable addition to the NAB board,” said Mr Chaney.

Mr Gupta will commence his non-executive director role from 5 November 2014.
