Louise Watson joins Challenger from Aberdeen

Challenger has recruited experienced funds management executive Louise Watson as a senior institutional business development manager, building the Fidante Partners multi-boutique business.

Challenger’s general manager, institutional business and strategic alliances, Michael Clarke, said Ms Watson is respected across the industry for her international experience and diverse expertise across mainstream and alternative asset classes.

Ms Watson commenced her 15-year career at Hambrecht & Quist/JP Morgan in San Francisco, before being appointed vice president, US & global equity research sales at JP Morgan in London, Challenger stated.

In Australia, she worked for Credit Suisse Asset Management as an institutional business development manager and was most recently at Aberdeen Asset Management in Sydney in a similar role, Challenger said.

At Challenger, she will be responsible for contributing to the growth and development of the Fidante Partners multi-boutique business.

Fidante Partners has over $30 billion in funds under management and a stable of 13 independently branded boutique funds management businesses, Challenger stated.
