Equity Trustees appoints Aussie equities head

Equity Trustees has appointed Paul Kasian as its new head of Australian Equities.

Dr Kasian, who has 25 years’ experience in the industry, makes the move from Melbourne-based fund manager Accordius where he was chief investment officer (CIO) and executive director.

His other past roles include CIO at First Samuel, as well as a number of senior roles at HSBC Global Asset Management, including CIO and head of equities.Dr Kasian co-founded Wallara Asset Management in 1995, and pioneered the ‘cash flow return on investment valuation technique’.

Equity Trustees CIO George Boubouras said Dr Kasian’s appointment was “the next step” in Equity Trustee’s funds management capability.
