Perpetual Investments has made a new senior appointment as it looks to improve its distribution strategy to align with industry changes.

Dean Winterton has been appointed as general manager, distribution and will be focused on improving the company's net inflows in his new role.

“Dean’s appointment is a significant step in the progression of our distribution strategy,” Perpetual Investments group executive Michael Gordon said.

“Dean will lead our sales and marketing efforts to capitalise on the vast opportunities this performance creates to grow our client base and funds under management.”

He has more than 15 years’ experience in financial services and joins Perpetual from a role at Eastspring Investments in Asia where he was head of institutional sales.

Mr Winterton also held previous roles at Bankers Trust and AMP Capital.

“During this period of industry change, Dean has a clear agenda to build upon the great success of Perpetual Investments by capitalising on the growth opportunities available to us,” Mr Gordon said.
