LGS appoints former mayor as chair

Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed Bruce Miller as the chair of its board, following the end of John Beecroft's two-year tenure.

Miller is a director and former chair of StateCover Mutual Limited and has been a councillor at Cowra Shire Council for 22 years, including 14 years as mayor.

In accordance with the fund's two-year rotation policy, existing director, Martin O'Connell, will also be replaced by Leo Kelly as deputy chair of the board.

LGS has also appointed two new directors, Michelle Blicavs and Keith Rhoades, who will replace outgoing directors Beverley Giegerl and Sam Byrne.

Ms Blicavs is a councillor at Wollongong City Council. Mr Rhoades was a former mayor at Coffs Harbour City Council and is currently the joint president of Local Government NSW.
