Mr Scholfield will be responsible for business development activities for State Street Australia and will play an “integral role” in its sector solutions approach for superannuation, State Street said.
“[The appointment] underlines our commitment to growing the range of services we offer to all our clients,” said Ian Martin, senior vice president, head of State Street global services, South East Asia and Pacific, and head of global markets, Australia and New Zealand.
This includes services in the “evolving Australian superannuation sector”, he added.
Mr Scholfield has been head of securities finance at State Street Global Markets in Sydney since November 2011. Before that he worked as securities finance asset liability manager for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
“Sinclair brings a wealth of experience to the sales team, having previously held roles in wealth manager services in Boston and London as well as securities finance roles in London and Sydney,” Mr Martin said.
