Bloomberg has completed its acquisition of Barclays Risk Analytics and Index Solutions (BRAIS) from Barclays Bank.

Barclays' fixed-income benchmark indices, BREAIS strategy indices and the intellectual property of the POINT portfolio analytics solution have all been acquired by Bloomberg.

As part of the acquisition, the technology will be co-branded Bloomberg Barclays Indices for an initial period of five years.

Bloomberg's global head of financial products, JP Zammit, said benchmarking and strategy indices are continuing to grow in importance in the current regulatory environment.
