Altius Asset Management has appointed former Perpetual Investments group executive Michael Gordon to its investment advisory committee.

Altius AM chief investment officer Bill Bovingdon said Mr Gordon would bring an “immense depth of global knowledge” to the investment advisory committee.

“With global economies and markets continuing to deal with unprecedented challenges, having experts of Michael’s calibre providing invaluable insights to our investment process is increasingly important,” Mr Bovingdon said.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Gordon was group executive at Perpetual Investments, before retiring from the position in August 2015. He has also held senior leadership roles with Fidelity International and BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

As part of the advisory committee, Mr Gordon will help Altius AM better understand the stock market.

“The role of [the] committee is to interrogate and thereby enrich our views on economic and financial market issues, and Michael has a broad range of expertise and understanding to draw on in this role,” Mr Bovingdon said.
