Michael Gaffney joins Principal Global Investors with responsibility for generating sales and maintaining consultant relationships.
PGI Australia chief executive Grant Forster said the appointment brings depth to the firm’s Australian business.
“Michael’s scope of expertise will be invaluable to our team and our clients,” Mr Forster said.
“I am confident that his comprehensive industry knowledge will assist in the growth and development of our business, given his experience working in different markets and across diverse asset classes.”
Mr Gaffney has 20 years’ experience managing institutional client and intermediary relationships. He has held positions at nabInvest, Challenger and Bank of Ireland Asset Management.
“I am very pleased to be making this move,” Mr Gaffney said.
“I look forward to working with Grant and the team to deliver Australia’s institutional investors global investment solutions,” he said.
