The company announced that Phil Anderson, formerly of the Zurich Hong Kong office, will take on the leadership role.
According to a statement, Mr Anderson will be responsible for the business’ “customer care proposition”, as well as its IT function.
Mr Anderson has previously held senior positions in Zurich’s underwriting, product development and distribution divisions, the statement said.
Zurich FS chief executive of life and investments Colin Morgan said Mr Anderson previously played a key role in the success of Zurich’s underwriting team.
“Since joining our Australian operation, Phil has been instrumental in turning our national underwriting team into one of the most highly respected and award-winning teams in the industry,” Mr Morgan said.
“His track record and vision make him the perfect choice to take us on our journey towards true customer intimacy.”
