NGS Super has promoted Adam Parsons to chief member officer, handing him responsibility for member growth, engagement and advice services as the fund looks to strengthen its connection with members and employers.

Effective from 1 June 2026, Parsons joined the fund’s executive team and assumed leadership of the Member Business unit, which oversees member growth, engagement, financial advice and user experience across NGS Super’s membership base.

The appointment followed what the fund described as a comprehensive executive search process involving a broad field of candidates.

NGS Super chief executive Natalie Previtera said Parsons’ mix of industry experience and leadership capability made him the standout candidate for the role.

“Adam brings a powerful combination of strategic marketing expertise, digital transformation experience and a clear focus on member growth and engagement,” Previtera said.

“The strength of the candidate pool reflected NGS Super’s market position and strategic momentum, but Adam’s energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of our business stood out. These qualities will be critical as we continue to scale our member services and enhance the overall member experience.”

The Member Business unit plays a key role within the fund, overseeing initiatives designed to improve member outcomes, strengthen employer relationships and create a more seamless experience across member touchpoints.

Parsons has more than 20 years of experience spanning superannuation, wealth management and financial services, with a background in member acquisition, engagement and digital transformation.

Having joined NGS Super in 2024, he previously led the fund’s brand, marketing and digital experience functions, helping reposition those areas as drivers of member acquisition, retention and engagement.

Before joining NGS Super, Parsons held senior marketing leadership positions at Colonial First State and CommSec.

In his new role, Parsons will focus on advancing the fund’s member growth strategy, improving the end-to-end member experience, expanding access to financial advice and education, and integrating digital capabilities across engagement channels.

“I am honoured to take on this role at such an important time for NGS Super,” Parsons said.

“We have a clear opportunity to deepen engagement, enhance the experience we deliver to members and employers, and build on the strong foundations already in place. I look forward to working with the executive team to drive the next phase of growth and impact for the fund.”
