The mandate was allocated to Loomis Sayles’ global disciplined alpha strategy.
Karen West, managing director of Loomis Sayles’ Australian distributor, Apostle Asset Management, said the relative value investment style of the strategy seeks “consistent alpha over a client's preferred benchmark”.
“Co-managers Lynda Schweitzer and Scott Service add their considerable expertise in international markets to the investment process.”
JANA portfolio manager Lynne Royer said the strategy may be well-suited for multi-manager portfolios as it seeks alpha from security selection and has limited macro elements.
“This type of investment leverages Loomis’ greatest strength – research that is broad and deep, especially in credit,” Ms Royer said.
