Packhorse Pastoral Company Australia Ltd. (Packhorse)
Packhorse exists to provide a secure place for investors’ money to grow as the company restores Australia’s regional land. Backed by industry heavyweights with a proven track record of generating solid financial returns and managing pastoral operations, Packhorse purchases large expanses of degraded pastoral land, prime for regeneration.
As land custodians, Packhorse is setting out to build the greatest land restoration and beef supply chain business in the world, with a 5-year goal to own 2 million hectares with $1.5bn under management.
The Packhorse method of regenerative grazing involves improving soil through a combination of planting diverse species of grasses and legumes and animal impact. Furthermore, this process promotes the production of high-quality beef and the opportunity to sequester carbon in the improved soil, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Packhorse is deploying sizeable carbon programs on its properties to generate lucrative Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs).
The Packhorse team is led by industry veterans including Tim Samway, Tom Strachan, Geoff Murrell and Nick Bonifant who deliver a powerful combination of funds management, supply chain, cattle and land regeneration expertise.
