Cbus has appointed former HESTA executive Joshua Parisotto as its new chief member officer, bolstering its leadership team as the industry superannuation fund continues to enhance its services and financial advice offering for members.
Parisotto brings more than a decade of experience in senior super leadership roles, including the past six years at HESTA, where he held positions including chief engagement and growth officer, chief member engagement officer and chief advice officer.
Before that, he was executive manager, distribution at VicSuper and also held leadership roles at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, IOOF and worked as a financial planner.
In the newly-appointed role, Parisotto will oversee the business unit responsible for member services, insurance, member performance and complaints.
Cbus chief executive Kristian Fok said the appointment reflected the fund’s focus on meeting the needs of its membership, particularly those working across the building and construction industries.
“We are acutely aware of the needs of our members and how they differ from the average Australian super fund member, and we have to be responsive to those needs,” he said.
“Joshua’s experience in member services and his background in financial advice will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen how we support members through every stage of their journey with us.”
Parisotto said he was looking forward to joining the $110 billion fund as it continues to evolve its member offering.
“Cbus holds a unique position in the superannuation landscape, and I’m really excited to be taking on the immense challenge of responding to our members’ evolving needs,” he said. “This Fund has an incredible history and a very bright future, which I am delighted to be a part of.”
Cbus manages more than $110 billion on behalf of more than 925,000 members and has expanded in recent years through its mergers with Media Super in 2022 and EISS Super in 2023.
