LGS reappoints former chairman

Local Government Super has announced the reappointment of former chairman Bruce Miller.

Bruce Miller will replace Katherine O’Regan as the chair of Local Government Super's board.

Mr Miller previously chaired the board of LGS between 2013 and 2015. He also holds a director and chair position at StateCover Mutual Limited, has been a councillor at Cowra Shire Council for over two decades and served for 14 years as its mayor.

Commenting on the appointment, LGS chief executive David Smith said, “As the incoming CEO, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with Mr Miller and the LGS board in growing the fund, providing value for money for members, and continuing our commitment to sustainable and responsible investment.”

In addition, Lindsay Brown has been appointed as a director of LGS, bringing with him experience from similar roles at LGNSW and StateCover Mutual Limited.

Mr Brown served as a mayor at Eurobodalla Shire Council for four years from 2012.

Both have already commenced their positions.
