CFSGAM appoints former UBS researcher

Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) has appointed a former UBS executive to the new role of head of research for the Australian equities growth team.

David Wilson has been appointed to the new role at CFSGAM and will commence work on 18 May 2015.

CFSGAM head of Australian equities, growth, Marcus Fanning said that Mr Wilson has “a track record of achievement in multiple roles during his tenure with UBS and JP Morgan”.

“We decided to formalise the role of head of research for the Australian equities growth team to oversee our intensive research process which is a key point of differentiation, and after an extensive recruiting process I am pleased to announce that David has accepted the position,” said Mr Fanning.

“David will be working closely with our research analysts to ensure a continuation of the high-quality research the team currently produces to deliver superior investment outcomes for our clients.

“We expect that David’s strong modelling skill set will only enhance our capability in this field and that David’s breadth of market coverage will add to the team’s idea generation.

“A critical factor in the ongoing success and continued growth of our global business is ensuring that our capabilities and the culture within our investment teams are of the highest quality and relevancy to our clients,” Mr Fanning said.
