New US staff at AMP Capital

Investment house AMP Capital has announced the appointments of three new institutional directors and the opening of a new office in the US.

The company has named Julia Szlakowski as institutional director of unlisted, Americas, Mark Miness as institutional director of west coast, Americas, and Craig Watkins as institutional director of east coast, Americas.

Ms Szlakowski comes to AMP Capital from Champlain Advisors, where she served as the company’s vice president and oversaw private equity and real asset institutional capital raises.

During her 15 year career in capital raising, business development and marketing, Ms Szlakowski also worked at Eaton Partners LLC.

Mr Miness was formerly vice president of institutional marketing and consultant relations at Cohen and Steers Capital Management, where he spent eight years managing the firm’s real asset capabilities distribution.

Also making the move from Cohen and Steers, Mr Watkins brings more than nine years’ experience in real asset investing to his new role.

AMP Capital have also announced the launch of a new office in Orange County, California, to cater to west coast clients, which will open in February 2017.
