Global investment manager Pimco has announced the appointment of former Morgan Stanley executive Paul Vosper as its new executive vice-president and real estate strategist.

Mr Vosper joins the firm's New York office, reporting directly to Pimco managing director and global head of alternative products Jennifer Bridwell, who noted that Mr Vosper was a good fit for the role.

”With more than 24 years of experience as a real estate investment professional, Paul brings significant experience and knowledge to our business and will enhance our ability to provide investment opportunities for our clients,” Ms Bridwell said.

Mr Vosper was previously a co-head of Morgan Stanley working across Europe, Asia and the US, and has worked as chief operating officer at Alternative Investment Partners where he also sat on the investment committee.
