FSP has created a new position to help spearhead the dealer group's growth plans.

Financial Services Partners (FSP) has created a new role to help spearhead the dealer group's growth plans, FSP chief executive Geoff Rimmer has announced.

Allan Crane, who has worked within FSP's sales and development team for 10 years, will assume the role as national recruitment manager.

"Allan has a wealth of experience in understanding the issues faced by advisers on a day to day basis, and importantly, understands adviser businesses and what it takes for them to be successful," Rimmer said.

Crane's role will focus on recruiting new firms to FSP, which currently has a network of 100 member firms, as well as helping existing practices with their recruitment and acquisition requirements.

An FSP spokesperson said the dealer group aimed to attract holistic firms that preferably offer both wealth and risk advice and which have between two and four advisers.

Rimmer said, in creating the role of national recruitment manager, FSP expected its value proposition in the market to be second to none for advisers seeking a full service dealer group.

FSP also wrapped up its Future Directions Symposium events around the country last week which aimed to assist advisers in the transition to fee for service.

A spokesperson from FSP said attendance was fantastic, with 258 external industry professionals and 180 of FSP's 200 advisers taking part.

Meanwhile, FSP has also signalled that it is looking to bolster resources in its research and technical, professional standards and paraplanning areas by the end of the year.
