Statewide reappoints MetLife

Product range, service key to reappointment

Statewide has re-signed its group insurance agreement with MetLife.

Government superannuation fund Statewide has reappointed MetLife to provide its 170,000 members with group insurance.

MetLife has been the group insurer for Statewide for 18 years.

Substantial improvements in MetLife's product range and its service commitments were the key factors behind the reappointment, Statewide Super chief executive John O'Flaherty said.

"Statewide Super's members will receive significantly enhanced death and TPD (total and permanent disability) and income protection at no extra cost," O'Flaherty said.

MetLife has also offered the fund an online service that provides members access to insurance cover.

"An important element of MetLife's offering is their e-toolkit, a demonstration of MetLife's dedication to improving the customer experience when it comes to our members' insurance," O'Flaherty said.
