By Julie May
Mon 23 Aug 2010

AMP has recruited seven new people to its independent financial adviser (IFA) protection team in response to an increase in demand for its enhanced risk offer.

Graham Burnard, who has been at AMP since May, has been appointed head of IFA protection sales.

Prior to running his own consultancy business over the past two years, Burnard held senior sales positions at Asteron, Australian Wealth Management, Zurich and Sealcorp.

Gavin Glozier, who has been hired as regional leader for New South Wales, joins AMP from Macquarie Life, where he was a business development manager (BDM).

Jamie-Lee Fraser, who was formerly a member of the key accounts team at CommInsure, has been appointed a BDM for NSW and the Australian Capital Territory.

Meanwhile, Stephen Nguyen has left Aviva to join AMP as a BDM for Victoria and Tasmania.

Matt Styles has been promoted to regional manager for Victoria and Tasmania and prior to joining AMP worked at companies including CommInsure, IOOF and National Mutual.

These announcements follow the recent appointments of Kevin Canning as regional leader for Queensland and  Reece Foster as a BDM for Queensland.

Canning joined AMP from Millennium3, while Foster joined from Vantage Life Solutions.
