Outlook-affiliated group Big Sky Financial Solutions has acquired a Perth-based advisory firm.

Big Sky Financial Solutions (Big Sky) has bought Perth-based financial advisory firm Westwide Financial Services.

Big Sky is 49 per cent owned by Snowball Group subsidiary Outlook Financial Solutions and 51 per cent by Big Sky Credit Union.

Westwide has more than $50 million in funds under advice and provides advice on self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), financial advice and risk insurance.

Westwide also provides financial advice to corporates, but the corporate superannuation business of Westwide is not being acquired by Big Sky.

This business will continue to be operated by Westwide under the Outlook Australian financial services licence.

The firm consists of three staff, including managing director Peter Gangemi, client relationship manager Kasey Brack and administration assistant and events coordinator Lori Gangemi.

Big Sky is planning to expand the number of planners in Westwide and said the takeover provides a foundation acquisition for the group.
